The CARMEN AND FRANCIS CARRYL HUMANITARIAN SERVICE AWARD

The Carmen and Francis Carryl Humanitarian Service Award was conceived in 1997 to honor volunteers who lend their health and medical expertise to assist persons in developing countries. The award is named in honor of the late parents of OMAT president Dr. Stephen S. Carryl. It was instituted with the blessings of his siblings: Francis, Jr.; Rudolph; Rolston; Owen; Clyde; and, Dawne.

Francis Carryl (1927-1995) was a co-founder of OMAT and a visionary who worked with many organizations to assist in improving conditions in his native Guyana.
