OMATKids

Life is a struggle for many children around the world. Millions live in poverty. They do not have enough to eat. They do not have homes with a warm bed and cuddly toys. They do not have clean, safe water to drink. Many are in danger due to conflicts in their countries. Others must work so that their families can survive. And many of these children are not able to get simple, routine medical attention. OMAT believes that each child should have a fair chance. This is why we are launching OMAT Kids to ask parents to allow their children to help other kids in the Caribbean and around the world.

Here are some ideas on how kids can help:

· Organize a fun drive at your church, club, school or in your neighborhood to collect toys, coloring books, school supplies, children's summer pyjamas, children's vitamins or other such items for donation to OMATKids!

· Collect pennies or other coins up until the Holidays and donate it to OMATkids!

· Turn a birthday party into a benefit for needy children. Ask guests to bring a donation, a toy or an item of clothing for a child in lieu of gifts. Donate to OMATKids!

· Hold a ‘fun’ raiser such as a car wash; lemonade stand, bake sale or dress-up party to benefit OMATKids

· Let your school clubs know about OMATKids and make the Overseas Medical Assistance Team your charity of choice!

Parents, teahers or guardians must approve before kids can help.
